Our Story
DementiaVision™️ was founded in West Yorkshire by Steven Bentley, a builder, inventor, and son who experienced first-hand how the environment can either support or confuse individuals living with dementia.
Inspired by his mother, Christine Bentley, who continues to live with the condition, Steven set out to create a new benchmark in clarity, accessibility, and compassion within care environments.
What began as a single, hand-made sign has grown into a complete visual communication system — now trademarked, UK-registered, and under professional review by the Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC) for formal accreditation.
Every DementiaVision™️ sign carries a piece of their story — a promise that no person should ever feel lost in the place they call home. Through design grounded in neuroscience and empathy, DementiaVision™️ aims to make independence, dignity, and understanding part of every environment.
